QA Analyst

This role will focus on ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of Multistack‘s internal and customer-facing software applications. You will work closely with developers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams throughout the software development life cycle to validate new features, identify defects, and support dependable releases. Testing will primarily support our backend-driven Next.js/C# application and new tooling built within a larger connected system. Responsibilities:
- Create and execute functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance tests.
- Test applications across our C#/.NET, Next.js/React, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL environment.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
- Test APIs and validate application data using SQL.
- Work with developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, and release risks.
- Maintain test plans and regression coverage for key workflows.
- Support release validation and contribute to QA processes, standards, and documentation.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of professional software QA, testing, or related technical experience.
- Experience creating and executing software test cases.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and defect documentation skills.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience testing APIs; GraphQL experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with modern web applications, React, and C#/.NET.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and bug/work-item tracking tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a small development team.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with automated testing tools or frameworks.
- ISTQB certification.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure.
- Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Background or interest in the HVAC industry.
